Indian cycling has seen an upswing of late, especially in the junior wings where the young sprint cyclists have set the track on fire in Asia. Led by 17-year-old Esow Alben's six gold medals in Asian Track Championships and a historic silver medal at the Junior Track World Championships over the last two years, the future looks bright under the guidance of Sprint coach RK Sharma and availability of world-class infrastructure at the National Cycling Academy in Delhi.
