Tyson Fury, the 37-year-old former world heavyweight boxing champion from England, has announced he is coming out of retirement again to fight in 2026. Fury told fans on social media that he is not returning for money or fame. He said he has already earned plenty and achieved all big titles, but he loves the sport more than anything. Tyson Fury has not boxed since December 21, 2024, when he lost his second fight to Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After that loss, he retired in January 2025 but has now decided to train again and compete later this year. Fury is training in Thailand and seems ready to fight whoever stands in front of him for a big match in 2026.

Tyson Fury explains why his heart is pulling him back to the boxing ring

Tyson Fury explained clearly why he is returning. He said he has won many titles, including world belts and awards, during his long career. Fury said he could have stayed retired because he has made a big fortune already. But he told fans his return is not about money, it is about his love for boxing. Tyson Fury said he feels boxing is his destiny and that fighting is the thing he loves most in life. Fury wrote on social media that he wants to fight again in 2026 and hopes to face big opponents.
One name he mentioned as a possible fight is Fabio Wardley, the WBO heavyweight champion. Fury called Wardley a strong and exciting opponent if he fights later this year.
Fabio Wardley has also said he is ready for the challenge and would welcome a fight with Fury in 2026. Many boxing fans are asking where and when Fury will fight next. No official date or place has been announced yet, but promoters and boxing insiders expect Fury to have at least one fight in mid- to late 2026. Tyson Fury’s long awaited fight with Anthony Joshua was talked about before, but Joshua was recently in a serious car accident that could delay his return. Another possible opponent for Fury is Oleksandr Usyk, the current top heavyweight boxer who beat Fury twice in 2024. Usyk is busy with other fights, but many fans want a third match between Fury and Usyk if schedules allow later this year. Also Read: Who Are Alex Pereira’s Children?
