Jake Paul and his business partner vow legal action against rigging claims following Anthony Joshua fight

Jake Paul’s boxing career is still facing heavy scrutiny, even after his bout with Anthony Joshua. The YouTuber walked away from the fight with a broken jaw. However, the injury has done little to silence critics, who continue to doubt the credibility of his path in boxing.

MVP co-founder Nakisa Badarian has confirmed that legal action is being prepared against individuals spreading what the team calls false and damaging allegations. Despite Paul holding a professional record of 12-2 since 2020, many fans remain unconvinced. They argue that his opponents are carefully chosen and past their best, keeping the controversy alive.

Speaking during a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Nakisa Badarian revealed that MVP’s legal team is already taking steps. He said the focus is on online figures who accused the Anthony Joshua fight of being fixed. One claim, in particular, gained massive traction on social media and drew a strong response from MVP.

Badarian said, “Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people, one who claims to be a lawyer himself online… it was a post that had around 200k likes. Basically, the post said there was an agreement for AJ not to knock out Jake, but AJ disregarded the agreement and decided to not get his payday but knock out Jake Paul. It’s pretty, pretty astonishing what people will say.”

Badarian also stressed that none of Jake Paul’s fights have ever been fixed. He insisted that MVP follows strict professional standards for every bout. According to him, the accusations are unfair and harmful to everyone involved.

The MVP executive also addressed Paul’s loss inside the ring. During the early rounds, Paul used movement and clinching to slow Joshua down. But as the fight progressed, Paul appeared to fade. Joshua then took control and ended the bout in the sixth round.

At the post-fight press conference, Badarian rejected the idea that Paul was outclassed on skill. He argued that the size difference between the two fighters played the biggest role.

He said, “The reality is, Jake lost because of the size difference, not because of the skill difference. ‘AJ’ was hanging on that neck, pushing him down, and when you have someone that heavy constantly doing that, it does suck the energy out of you. ‘AJ’ talked about taking out the man’s soul. He didn’t take out his soul. He did take out his energy, and that’s when he was able to get the finish.”

Despite the loss and ongoing criticism, MVP remains firm in defending Jake Paul’s boxing career.
