Lionel Messi is making his ties to Miami stronger by buying four ultra-luxury condos at Cipriani Residences in Brickell. This shows that he plans to stay in South Florida for a long time. The investment comes after he signed a new contract with Inter Miami that lasts until 2028, which shows that he is stable outside of football.
As Miami prepares for a new stadium and the 2026 World Cup, Messi’s growing real estate footprint reflects both lifestyle priorities and a strategic vision for his future in the city.
Lionel Messi's luxury footprint in Brickell’s skyline
Messi’s reported purchase includes four residences atop the under-construction Cipriani Residences Miami tower on South Miami Avenue. One unit alone is valued near $7.5 million. The 80-story building, Cipriani’s first ground-up residential project in the United States, is scheduled for completion in 2028.
The development will house 397 residences, with select penthouses and top-floor homes forming an exclusive collection reserved for elite buyers. Sources say that at least one of Messi's units could be about 3,500 square feet, which is enough space for his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, their kids, and family who come to visit. The building promises privacy and great views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline, in addition to its prestige.
Amenities are meant to make life safe and comfortable. The residents will be able to use a private restaurant and speakeasy, spa, a golf simulator, a screening room, fitness center, and 24-hours services that are meant to be discreet.
Lionel Messi is building a life beyond football
Messi’s Brickell purchase adds to an already impressive South Florida portfolio. He owns a waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale near Inter Miami’s training base and previously secured a residence in the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, famous for its sky garages and car elevators.
His property decisions mirror his professional commitment to Miami. After extending his contract, Messi expressed his attachment to the city and the club’s vision.
“It makes me really happy to stay here and to continue with this project,” Messi said. “Since I arrived in Miami, I’ve been very happy, so I’m truly glad to keep going here.”
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas echoed that sentiment. “Leo signing through 2028 is an ode to our amazing city,” Mas said. “Together we will continue building and dreaming.”
With Miami offering cultural familiarity, elite amenities, and proximity to Argentina, Messi appears to be crafting more than an investment portfolio.
