“I’m white, and I’m proud”: Druski’s latest NASCAR video fuels debate over racist comedy on social media

Comedian Druski is making headlines again after he showed up at a NASCAR race dressed in white face for his latest comedy video. Posted online this week, the comedy finds him covert as a Caucasian American guy. Full makeup, a phony beard, tattoos, a mullet, denim overalls, and even a cowboy hat finished the look for Druski. The film was shot at a recent NASCAR race in the United States, where admirers were unaware Druski was behind the disguise.

Druski, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, walked through the NASCAR crowd while staying in character. He played a loud, proud white man who said, “I’m white, and I’m proud!” during the skit. In the video, Druski is seen drinking beer, smoking with a woman on his lap, and even spitting at the feet of two Black fans.

The shocking part is that nobody in the crowd noticed it was him under the heavy makeup. The video quickly spread on social media after he posted it, with many fans saying they could not believe how real his look appeared.


The NASCAR skit was filmed recently, but Druski has done similar comedy in the past. Back in May 2024, he went viral with his character “Preston”, a white man who was accepted by a group of Black friends.

That video divided the internet, with some calling it hilarious and others calling it controversial. This new NASCAR clip is already creating the same kind of debate online.
