Grammy winner Pitbull to headline Allstate Championship Tailgate for 2026 CFP title game

In an announcement from the College Football Playoff on Thursday, global music superstar Pitbull will bring his high-octane performance to the Allstate Championship Tailgate, making for an electric precursor to the 2026 CFP National Championship. Pitbull's making an appearance outside Hard Rock Stadium has been announced for January 19, 2026, ahead of one of the most colorful celebrations in CFP history, according to organizers, and kicks off three days of live music, fan activations, and community activations leading up to the title game. Known around the globe as Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide.

Headlining the Capital One Music Stage, the performance represents a growing emphasis by the CFP on innovative ways to enhance the gameday experience for fans beyond the field. Tailgate, which lasts all day, promises interactive games, presence of sponsor activations, food and beverage, and appearances of marching bands from both teams as college football's biggest night approaches for the fans attending.

Pitbull to energize fans at championship tailgate festivities

Allstate Championship Tailgate is a National Championship weekend staple with fans celebrating the pregame experience, and this year promises to take that experience to the next level. Grammy Award-winning artist and chart-topping powerhouse Pitbull is set to perform live and pump up the crowd just hours before kick-off.


The Tailgate will run from late morning through the afternoon and is open to fans of all ages. In addition to the main concert, the event will feature interactive football activities, live entertainment, branded experiences, and opportunities for fans to engage with the pageantry of football. CFP officials say that the combination of music, culture, and football creates a festival-like atmosphere for the championship game, unlike any other.

Armando Christian Pérez to take part in community and cultural initiatives

In addition to being a performer, Pitbull (whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez) will have a more expansive role over National Championship weekend. Part of the Extra Yard for Teachers Summit, aimed at celebrating teachers and the critical role education plays in local communities.

Pitbull has also been philanthropic through his SLAM Foundation, which centers around education and teaching. The foundation will assist Miami-area teachers through grants and recognition programs, as well as improvements to select school facilities as part of the CFP partnership.

The CFP and Pitbull are also partnering to offer a special co-branded merchandise collection that consumers can purchase at championship events. Southeast team designations will be paired, with proceeds benefiting the CFP Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, tied to the themes of college football, community impact, and South Florida cultural impact in conjunction with the celebration of the 2026 National Championship.
