A big surprise has come from a famous footballer. Sir David Beckham is known around the world for his sports career. But this time, it’s not about football. It’s not about clothes or photos either. It started with a small hobby during lockdown and has now turned into a brand called “BEEUP”. And it’s something sweet. Let’s find out what David Beckham has done this time.
David Beckham creates honey snack brand called BEEUP with his beekeeping hobby
On June 14, 2025, David Beckham, age 50, shared big news. He has started a snack company named BEEUP. The update came in a press note sent to PEOPLE magazine. David Beckham said this idea started in his garden. During the COVID lockdown in 2020, he and his son Cruz Beckham began keeping bees.
Over time, he fell in love with beekeeping. He said, “It began as a hobby with my sons but became a real love for honey. Honey gives clean energy. It’s a superfood.”
He did not do this alone. David Beckham joined hands with Shaun Neff, a business expert. Together, they made honey fruit snacks. These will come in three flavors: Tropical Mix, Very Berry, and Sour Watermelon. The packs will have 10 small snack bags inside. David Beckham said the goal is to give kids and families better snack choices.
David Beckham shares why this snack brand matters to him
David Beckham often posts pictures of his bee work on Instagram. In one video from 2022, he showed his first honey harvest. He worked on the hives with Cruz Beckham. In that video, David Beckham said, “Who knew I’d feel so much about this? It all started in lockdown.” He also shared that his bees made really tasty honey.
His partner Shaun Neff shared that David Beckham cares deeply about health and real food. David Beckham said, “We made BEEUP for families. It gives real energy. I’m happy kids can eat something healthy.”
In an April 2025 interview, David Beckham told PEOPLE that cooking with his four kids is special. He said, “Every night at 6 p.m., we all eat together. That’s our rule.” BEEUP is another way he wants to help families stay close and eat well.
