Aussie boxer Shannon Philp reveals massive earnings and the private messages that stunned her

Shannon Philp is a 26-year-old middleweight boxer from the Gold Coast in Australia. She shared this week that she now earns as much as $45,000 a month. She started using online platforms last year because boxing alone was not paying enough to cover her daily needs or her training bills. The money now helps her stay in the sport while also taking care of her home and travel costs.

Shannon Philp said she sat down with her partner, Lyndon, before she made the decision. She said she once worked as a hairdresser and dance teacher and never expected to earn this much from online content. But when boxing pay was too low, she needed another way to support herself.

Shannon Philp told the Daily Mail, in comments shared by other outlets, that she could not move forward in boxing without stable money.

She said things like coaching, training camps, medical checks and travel are expensive. She explained, “If female boxers don’t have a regular income, we can’t go to the next level.”

She said the money covers these needs and takes pressure off her while she trains.

Shannon Philp also spoke openly about her personal life. She and her partner, Lyndon, are in an ethical non-monogamy (ENM) relationship.



She said it is new for both of them but they enjoy it, and she added that the scene is “thriving” on the Gold Coast.

She said her friends and family support her choices and understand that this routine helps her goals. Shannon Philp has also grown online. She posts on Instagram, where she has close to 85,000 followers, and she also uses X and TikTok.

Lyndon takes many of her photos, and she said content creation has become a full-time job for her now. She said it began as a “side hustle” and has turned into something that helps her feel secure.

In the ring, Shannon Philp is still building her record. She did not have a long amateur career and has lost two early pro fights.

She calls them “stepping stones” and says she wants to keep working to improve.

She said she feels proud to go from earning $20 as a young hairdresser to now saving for a house and training without stress.
