The 20-member Indian squad will be led by captain Amir Ali and vice-captain Rohit. The team secured their fourth Junior Asia Cup title last year after defeating Pakistan in the final.

India has been placed in Pool A, alongside Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, and Thailand. Pool B consists of Bangladesh, Malaysia, China, Oman, and Pakistan.

Despite automatically qualifying for the Junior World Cup as hosts, the team, under the guidance of coach PR Sreejesh, sees the tournament as an opportunity to build upon their recent success at the Sultan of Johor Cup.

"The Sultan of Johor Cup was a first-time experience for many of the players, yet they showed great spirit in doing well and I am quite pleased with how they performed,” Sreejesh said in a media release.
