JAIPUR: As India prepare for the Men's Hockey World League Final to be held Bhubaneswar from December 1-10, one of the star players of India Harmanpreet Singh said the host team will make life difficult for Australia when they meet in the first match.
"We are improving ourselves each day and I am sure Australia will have a tough time against us," he said.
"We are confident of a win as we are putting our strategies together by watching videos and our last few clashes against them," he added.
Pool A consists of Olympic Champions Argentina, European champions Netherlands, Olympic silver medallists Belgium and Spain.
Reigning World Cup and World League Champions Australia will begin their title defence in Pool B as they take on Germany, England and hosts India.
Germany, who are grouped with India in Pool B arrived in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, Stefan Kermas, head coach of Germany, on arriving in Bhubaneswar said, "We are looking forward to a good tournament."
Talking about India's chances of winning against England and Germany, Harmanpreet said, "It would not be easy for us. Still, we will try and the home support I hope will be an extra help for us. What I believe is that good fitness and hunger for success will always bring more consistent and better results in whatever you want to be in life," he added.
