NEW DELHI: Vikram Rana blasted a three-under 69, the second-best card of the day, to zoom sixth place to tied seventh after the second round of the Malaysian Amateur Open played at Kuching in Malaysia on Friday.
Rana now has a two-day total of level-par 144. Meanhwile, Rashid Khan carded an even-par 72 to lie tied 19th with an aggregate of four-over 148.
Gagan Verma, who was fifth overnight, slumped to 11th place after he returned with a nightmarish four-over 76.
Among others, Abhishek Jha and Anuj Sood missed the cut, which fell at 12-over 156.
Thanyakon Khrongpha of Thailand emerged as the leader after he followed up his 69 in the first round with 68 today, while three shots behind is local lad Kalana Ibrahim.
Defending champion Koh Dengshan of Singapore is placed 40th with a tally of seven-over 151.
In the ladies' section, Shreya Ghai finished tied ninth with a card of nine-over 81, while teammate Shruti Galande was at 26th place after carding 14-over 86.
