HYDERABAD: Industry heavyweights flexed their muscles on the golf course to determine the best corporate golfers from Hyderabad and Chennai at the Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club.
The host club laid out the canvas for the Hyderabad leg of the Times of India Leaders' Challenge Tour -- presented by
Sahara India Pariwar in association with Chevrolet -- the leading corporate golf tournament in South Asia.
In a very close finish, Madhav Kota, MD, Bright Light Renewable Technologies Pvt Ltd, finished with 8 points to earn the bragging rights in the 0-17 handicap category while Vasu Merugu of CA Technologies was the runner-up with 6 points.
The 18-24 handicap category witnessed a one-sided affair with Aluri Srinivasa Rao, MD, Morgan Stanley Pvt Equity Asia emerging victorious over Sakaar Anand, Vice President, CA Technologies by 16 points!
On the virtue of being the winner and runner-up in the two handicap categories respectively, the quartet clinched a berth into the Grand Final to be held in London later this year.
The team honours was bagged by the duo of Santosh Lohiya, CEO, Healthy Heart Foods Limited and Rajesh Alla, CMD, IIC Technologies Ltd. Vinod Tandra, MD, Speed Projects Pvt Ltd and Ranadher Reddy, VP, Shaili Infratech ended up at the runners-up.
Film actress Hansika Motwani was there to honour the winners.
