Manhar Bajoria and Fizza Ali were in lead in Category A boys and girls, respectively, while Anshul Mishra returned a card of three-under 67 to be at the top of Group B boys.
Sinjini Mukherjee leads Category B girls. Shaurya Bhatnagar and Anahaat Bindra took opening-day honours in Category C boys and girls.
In Category D boys, Varish Mohta is at the top with Aranyak Chakraborty and Julinka Roychowdhury leading Category E boys and girls.
This is first-ever tournament in Kolkata to carry world amateur ranking points. A total of 56 golfers -- in age category of 6 to 22 years -- have been divided into six groups: AA, A, B, C, D, E (boys and girls).
The tournament is being played in
Gross Strokeplay format
, with categories AA, A, B, C and D (boys & girls) competing over 54 holes and Category E (boys & girls) challenging over 27 holes.
Golfers in categories AA, A, B, C and D completed 18 holes on the opening day while Category E finished nine holes.
Only participants in Category AA will be eligible to receive world amateur ranking points.
