Delhi golfer Lakshya Dev triumphs in second edition of Justice Anshuman Singh Memorial Golf Cup tournament

Lakshya Dev Mudgil claimed victory at the second Justice Anshuman Singh Memorial Golf Cup, hosted at Rambagh Golf Club. Noteworthy category winners included Anas Shamshi, Jaswant Singh, and Naitik Chauhan among others. The event, featuring over 160 golfers, recognized achievements across various categories and handicaps.

JAIPUR: Seasoned campaigner Lakshya Dev Mudgil triumphed in the second edition of Justice Anshuman Singh Memorial Golf Cup tournament which concluded at the Rambagh Golf Club here on Sunday.
Experienced Delhi golfer Lakshya emerged as the gross winner of the one-day tournament. Anas Shamshi was the gross runner-up, while Deep Karan Thakkar finished as the gross second runner-up. Jaswant Singh reigned supreme in the 'eldest golfer' category, while Naitik Chauhan bagged the 'youngest golfer' title. The tournament was played in 18-hole stable ford (3/4 handicap) (maximum handicap 24) format, in which more than 160 golfers from across the country, including international players participated.
Padmanabh Singh was the chief guest for the prize distribution function. Both the winners and runners-up were awarded in different categories and handicaps at the ceremony.
Captain of Rambagh Golf Club, Shirish Sacheti, tournament committee members, Narendra Singh, Arun Pratap Singh, Jaideep Singh Bika, Nidhishwar Singh Bika, two international players, Tom Soluri and Michael Soluri, honorary secretary of the club, Hem Singh Khangarot and tournament convener, Sharad Agarwal and Shailendra Singh along with other members and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The names of the winners and runners-up in other categories of the tournament are as follows. In the handicap category (0-9), Pushpendra Singh Rathore was the winner, Col Rakesh Kumar Lamba was the runner-up and Samridh Sharma was the second runner-up. In the handicap category (10-18), Divyaraj Singh was the winner, Haider Ali was the runner-up and Maj Gen Sandeep Bahl was the second runner-up.
Similarly, in the handicap category (19-24), Bhupesh Bhatia was the winner, Shashwat Kulshrestha was the runner-up, and second runner-up was Aditya K Mathur.

In the 'veteran golfer' category, gross winner was Inam Shamshi and net winner was Devraj Singh Khangarot. In the 'senior veteran golfer' category, gross winner was Darshan Singh and net winner was Rajan Sanghi. Gross winner of the 'lady golfer' category was Sarah Choudhary and net winner was Diana Kaushik. The gross winner of 'best junior golfer' (Under-19) was Kunal Singh-J and net winner was Devvrat Singh. Likewise, the gross winner of 'best junior girl' (Under-19) category was Shiksha Jain and net winner was Vrinda Saini.
Apart from this, the other categories were as follows. Nearest to pin category was won by Rajkumar Nain; straight drive category was won by Mike Soluri and the title of straight drive (veteran) was won by Group Captain R S Raghav. Similarly, the winner of longest drive was Rajat Karwasara; winner of longest drive (veteran) was Ami Lal Meena.
