HILTON HEAD ISLAND (South Carolina): Arjun Atwal was not able to survive the cut despite an even par 71 in the second round of the RBC Heritage Golf Championships on the PGA Tour.
Atwal had a roller-coaster of a round with three birdies, three bogeys, an eagle and a double bogey that left him five over for two days.
Starting on the tenth he bogeyed the 12th, birdied the 15th and dropped a shot on 18th on Friday.
On the second nine, he eagled the second but had a double bogey on the very next hole.
He birdied the fifth and sixth to give himself a chance, but a bogey on ninth ended his week early as the cut came at three-over.
Colt Knost shot a 6-under 66 on Friday to take a two-stroke lead over Carl Pettersson (65) after the second round. World No. 1 Luke Donald, who needs a top-eight finish to retain the top spot over No. 2 Rory McIlroy, bounced back from an opening 75 with a 69 to slide inside the cut line.
