Lewis Hamilton claims F1 sprint pole position at the Chinese Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton has taken pole for the sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix, posting a time of 1:30.849. This continues to highlight Hamilton's extraordinary skill as a driver in Formula 1, now in the suits of Ferrari, particularly at the Shanghai International Circuit, where he has six wins recorded. This is more than any other driver.
With track conditions changing during the session, Lewis Hamilton's experience proved to be the key to his pole. Lewis Hamilton's remarkable performance in sprint qualifying
Lewis Hamilton performed well in the sprint qualifying session on Saturday, beating all his rivals to take the top spot. World champion Max Verstappen placed second and McLaren star Oscar Piastri impressed with third. However, McLaren showed a competitive tempo all session, with Lando Norris and Piastri topping SQ1 and SQ2 respectively.
