Oliver Rowland’s son features in family travel moments, pictured in Formula E car

Reigning Formula E champion Oliver Rowland travelled to various parts of the world over the past few months before the championship entered a month-long break following the recently held Madrid E-Prix. The Nissan driver traveled to the Formula E race venues as well as the Formula One venues for cheering on protege Arvid Lindblad, who made his F1 debut with Racing Bulls this season. Now, his wife Lauren Rowland has shared a series of adorable pictures from their travels around the globe, featuring glimpses of their children, daughter Harper and son Hennie.

Oliver Rowland’s family trips around the globe

Oliver Rowland’s wife Lauren Rowland shared a collection of family photos on Instagram, captioning them: “Around the world.”

The first picture shows the family posing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris during their recent trip. This is followed by pictures of Harper enjoying ice cream. Another image shows her younger brother sitting in a Nissan Formula E car for a photo. There is also a snapshot from their visit to Disneyland, along with one from a marathon where the driver joined his wife for a run.

The Nissan driver reacted to the post with a heart emoji. The post also received a like from Jake Dennis of Andretti. Reacting to one of the pictures of their son, a fan commented: “Aaww, Hendrix wants some ice cream.”

Oliver Rowland completes 100 Formula E races

Oliver Rowland recently joined the 100-race club after competing in the Madrid E-Prix last weekend. The driver endured a difficult outing, finishing 16th at the Circuito del Jarama, although he had secured a third-place finish in Jeddah prior to that. He has since slipped to seventh in the Drivers’ Standings with 49 points.

After winning the Season 11 title, Rowland told FormulaE.com in an interview last year, “As a racing driver, a lot of days are bad and you have to keep believing in yourself that you're capable of doing it. Going into this year, I was confident that we would have a good chance.”

He added, “The moment I arrived in the championship and saw the calibre of drivers here, including previous world champions, it felt like such a great achievement to become World Champion and to be part of that is incredible.”

He will return to racing in May for the season’s second double-header in Germany. The Berlin E-Prix is scheduled to take place from May 1–3.
