Chloe Chambers earns Mahindra Racing Miami Rookie Free Practice outing after topping Valencia Women’s Test

As the countdown to the Miami Rookie Free Practice session continues, Mahindra Racing has announced that it will give Chloe Chambers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the GEN3 Evo car. The Rookie Free Practice session is scheduled to take place a day before the Miami E-Prix final, on January 30. Chambers, who hails from the United States, will be racing on home soil during the highly anticipated free practice outing.

Home favourite Chloe Chambers to drive for Mahindra Racing in Miami Rookie Free Practice

Chloe Chambers took to Instagram to express her excitement and gratitude towards Mahindra Racing for offering her the opportunity. Sharing her enthusiasm with fans, Chambers wrote: “Can’t wait to be back behind the wheel of a @fiaformulae car with @mahindraracing in Miami next week for the rookie free practice! Huge thanks to the team for giving me the opportunity again!”

Who is Chloe Chambers?

Chloe Chambers put up an impressive performance at the Valencia Women's Test in October last year. She recorded the fastest time of 1m22.767s in the afternoon session for Mahindra Racing at the test. She got her first taste of the Formula E car when she participated in the women's test in Jarama in November 2024 while driving for Andretti.

She finished third in the F1 Academy championship last season after competing for Campos Racing as part of the Red Bull F1 Academy programme. Following the conclusion of the championship, Chambers shared an emotional and inspiring message on Instagram. Posting a picture from the podium, she wrote: “An almost perfect ending to my final @f1academy race. Huge huge thank you to @camposracing for getting the car back together after race one. I’m not sure what’s coming next for me, but I’ll keep fighting to be in a race seat somewhere. Until then, you’ll just have to hang tight til my final farewell post. #F1Academy #LasVegasGP.”

The 21-year-old was born in China but holds American nationality after being adopted by an American family. She will take to the Miami International Autodrome, a circuit that runs through the iconic Hard Rock Stadium complex. The Rookie Free Practice session provides young talent with a valuable opportunity to get behind the wheel of the GEN3 Evo car in a competitive environment, while also allowing teams to gather crucial feedback on car performance and evaluate emerging drivers for future prospects.
