Amid prep for Shanghai E-Prix, Antonio Da Costa shares glimpses of racing in rain, local food, and cycling in Tokyo

Antonio Felix Da Costa’s plans for the Tokyo E-Prix may not have fallen into place, but the TAG Heuer Porsche driver would definitely be looking forward to repeating his success at the Shanghai E-Prix. He had emerged as the winner in part 2 of the Shanghai double-header last year and is now preparing for the Shanghai race again at the end of this month.

All the good things Antonio Felix Da Costa did in Tokyo

Antonio Da Costa finished seventh in the Tokyo E-Prix Round 8 but had to retire early due to his Porsche suffering suspension damage during the race. He couldn’t complete the last race, with his broken vehicle leading to yellow flags and a halted race.Still, Antonio remained positive and shared a variety of pictures and videos from his time in Tokyo. He shared a picture of himself in his Porsche race suit and helmet, followed by a video of him racing in heavy rain, which drastically brought down visibility on track. He shared a picture of a fan as well, holding a big placard with Antonio’s face on it. He also shared a glimpse of himself enjoying some local food and cycling with his fellow Formula E drivers on the streets of Tokyo. The post includes a picture of Antonio looking at a Lego piece resembling him.
Summing up the Tokyo experience, Antonio wrote on Instagram in Portuguese, which read after translation to English: “It was a tough weekend in terms of points. The performance is there. We have to be better and solidify our results again. The next race will be in China in 15 days. I'm already back to work on the simulator. Thanks guys, let's keep fighting!”Antonio’s fans showered him with supportive comments and fueled him up for the next race. A fan commented, “You’ve got this! Let’s do this.” Another said, “Let's focus and have faith.” One more wrote in the comments section, “Long walk... let's go!” A comment also read: “The spirit remains intact. Let's go.”One of the comments also read, “Keep going, it will work out Toni.” “KEEP GOING Antonio!!
