Uttar Pradesh spanked Delhi 6-1 in the 32nd sub-junior National Football Championship for Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy on Wednesday.
The UP strikers made mockery of Delhi's strong defense as they scored five goals in the last fifteen minutes of the first half to turn the game in their favour in the North Zone qualifying Round match at Garhi Harsaru stadium.
Mohd Rizwan (30th), Akar Dhanu (32nd), Mohit Rana (35th), Mohd Amir Khan (37th, 42nd) and Atul Dey (71st) were the scorers for the Uttar Pradesh team, while Uttam Rai (56th) brought the solitary consolation goal for the Delhi side.
Himachal Pradesh will take on Jammu and Kashmir, while Punjab will lock horns with Uttarakhand on Thursday.
