MARGAO, Jan 31: Super Cup champions Sporting Clube de Goa is looking to keep their unbeaten run intact when they meet Mohun Bagan tomorrow in a 10th ONGC National Football League match to be played at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, Margao.
Sporting, who are placed third with 9 points from five matches, will be without winger Rajesh Meetei and Joe Rodrigues who are nursing injuries.
But the return of striker Edeh Chidi after double booking will bolster the attack which lacked sharpness in their last match.
Peter Vaz, president of Sporting Clube de Goa, said although few of his players were carring injuries, they were ready to take on Bagan as they had a good bench strength.
"Bagan, who have not won so far, will try to go all out to collect their first full points and we have to guard against complacency," remarked Vaz.
Bagan desperately need to win tomorrow in order to improve their position as they have only 3 points from five matches.
Bagan raised their game in the second half of their last match -- against Dempo -- but were deprived a win by the Goan club's keeper who brought out splendid saves.
The Kolkata club also have injury worries on account of captain Mehtab Hussian and defender Edwardo. However, team sources said that they are likely to play tomorrow.
Bagan coach Johar Das said his team will play in the same vein they did against Dempo which they drew. He is planing tactical changes in the middle to unsettle the free flowing rival midfield.
"A win will definetly enhance our morale and that is what we are looking for against a side which is the best among the Goan teams playing in the NFL," Das said.
