KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club will look to pick up their second consecutive victory in
Calcutta Football League (CFL) Premier Division A when they face the challenge of Tollygunge Agragami at the club ground on Tuesday (August 9).
Mohammedan Sporting Club are currently on three points having started their campaign with a victory over Army XI. It was Manvir Singh who had scored the only goal that brought home full points.
The team's captain Rana Gharami had a brilliant game against Army XI and was also adjudged the man of the match.
"We had a good game against Army XI. Despite the heavy underfoot conditions, we played as per our plan and the players combined well with each other. But that victory is now in the past and now our focus is only on the match against Tollygunge," Mohammedan Sporting Club coach Mridul Banerjee said on the eve of the clash. "It will be a crucial match and we need to collect full points against Tollygunge who are playing well. They are a good side and they have three very good foreign players. But we are prepared for the match and hoping for three points."
Banerjee also stressed on the fact that his attackers should utilise the chances that come their way. For the record, Mohammedan Sporting Club failed to beat Tollygunge Agragami in their previous two encounters of the Calcutta Football League Premier Division.
Tollygunge Agragami will get into the match after having beaten George Telegraph 2-1 in their last assignment are currently on four points after playing two matches.
