BENGALURU: Captain Jotin Singh led from the front as
Army Service Corps
cantered to their second straight victory in the
BDFA Super Division league
beating
Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports
(DYES) team 2-0 on Thursday.
Jotin, who scored a hat-trick in the win against Bengaluru FC, almost did it again but in the end settled for two goals. Dictating terms from the start, ASC went ahead in the 19th minute when Jotin netted in style making a mockery of the DYES defence. The ace striker then netted his fifth goal of the tournament, making full use of a cross from Deepak Singh who darted in from the right flank. Changing ends, Jotin almost scored his third but his shot in the 77th minute hit the post.

John to lead BengaluruMeanwhile, BDFA announced an 16-member squad for the State Games in Dharwad. The Bengaluru team, comprising players from B Division clubs, will be led by John Gabeat of Bangalore Mars FC. The eight teams taking part have been pooled into two groups.
Group A: Bengaluru, Belagavi, Mandya and Shivamogga.
Group B: Chitradurga, Dharwad, Mangaluru, Mysuru.
