The Indian star joining Croatia’s HNK Sibenik could open many doors for other Indian footballers

When news made the rounds that Sandesh Jhingan was headed to HNK Sibenik, a top-tier football club in Croatia, Anuj Kichlu’s phone was buzzing all through the day.

Kichlu is Jhingan’s representative from the Madrid-headquartered Best of You Sports (BOY) and responsible for the India defender’s move to Europe. It’s not always that a Croatian club takes notice of Indian footballers, so it wasn’t a surprise that everyone wanted to know how he managed to pull this off.
