NEW DELHI: Indian football team will be travelling to England next month for a 10-day exposure tour.
According to sources, India will play couple of matches against EPL side Blackburn Rovers. For Indian coach Savio Medeira, the friendly against Bayern Munich on Tuesday already started India's journey to 2015 Asian Cup in Australia.
India, champions in 2008, find themselves in a tough group in next months AFC Challenge Cup, whose winner gets a direct entry in the Asian Cup.
India have been clubbed with tough teams like 2010 World Cuppers North Korea, the Philippines and Tajikistan for the tournament in Kathmandu from March 8-19.
Meanwhile, the I-League core committee which met on Wednesday, has allowed East Bengal to replace Alan Gow with another foreign player. The committee also reached a consensus that monetary fine would be imposed on the incident involving the altercation between East Bengal players and Goa Stadium Authority staff during a match.
