PANAJI: Wim Koevermans fears that those who have been snared by IMG-Reliance will be short on match practice ahead of the team's international commitments.
The India coach need not fear. Just five players from the 30 probables that he has handpicked for the international friendly against Tajikistan on August 14 have switched over to the proposed IPL-style football league.

According to information made available to TOI, Gouramangi Singh, Syed Rahim Nabi, Subrata Paul, Nirmal Chhetri and Sandesh Jhingan are the five national players.
One player who has smartly stayed from pledging his allegiance to either any of the I-League clubs -- including Churchill Brothers who have made him an impressive offer -- or IMG-Reliance is Sunil Chhetri. "I will take my time," the India captain said during one television debate on Thursday.
In the new league: Baichung Bhutia, Gouramangi Singh, Syed Rahim Nabi , Sanju Pradhan, Mehrajuddin Wadoo, Sushil Kumar Singh, Ishfaq Ahmed, Renedy Singh, Surkumar Singh, Sandesh Jhingan, Subrata Paul, Surkumar Singh, Nirmal Chhetri, Sushant Mathew, Mohammad Rafi, Sukhwinder Singh, Arindam Ghosh, Lalrinfela, Luis Barreto, Peter Costa, Manish Maithani, Bisheshwor Singh, Subhash Singh, Nadong, Ramandeep Singh
