NEW DELHI:
Harry Kane showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting twice, including a dramatic stoppage-time winner, as Bayern Munich secured a vital 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig.
The win ends Bayern's three-game losing streak across all competitions and keeps them in second place, eight points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
The match started with an early chance for Bayern as Kane's header struck the post in the fifth minute.
However, it was Jamal Musiala who orchestrated a quick break, setting up Kane for a clinical, low finish in the 56th minute, giving Bayern the lead.
RB Leipzig responded in the 70th minute, with Benjamin Sesko finding the net through a deflected shot after twice being denied earlier by Bayern's veteran goalkeeper,
Manuel Neuer.
With the score level, the stage was set for Harry Kane to once again prove his worth. In stoppage time, Kane delivered a powerful low drive, securing his 27th league goal of the season and sealing a crucial three points for Bayern Munich.
The Bavarians, who recently announced the departure of coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season, remain in second place in the league standings, eight points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen. The league leaders secured a 2-1 victory over Mainz 05 on Friday, maintaining their position at the top with 61 points.
