Premier League leaders Arsenal had to battle hard to reach the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, edging Mansfield Town 2-1 away in a close match.Mansfield, who had knocked out Burnley in the previous round, defended well early on. But Noni Madueke broke the deadlock after 40 minutes with a neat left-footed finish.

The home side fought back after the break. Substitute Will Evans equalised in the 50th minute when he ran onto a loose ball and scored. Mansfield stayed competitive until substitute Eberechi Eze struck a powerful shot into the roof of the net to secure Arsenal’s victory.Meanwhile, Manchester City also moved into the last eight with a 3-1 comeback win away to Newcastle United.Harvey Barnes gave Newcastle the lead in the 18th minute. City responded when Savinho equalised before halftime. Omar Marmoush then scored twice in the second half — first from close range and later with a powerful strike from outside the penalty area — to seal the win.Chelsea had a difficult match against Championship side Wrexham, eventually winning 4-2 after extra time.Sam Smith put Wrexham ahead in the 18th minute, but Chelsea levelled just before halftime thanks to an own goal by goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.
Callum Doyle restored Wrexham’s lead in the 79th minute, but Josh Acheampong quickly equalised.Wrexham’s hopes suffered a blow when George Dobson was sent off. In extra time, Alejandro Garnacho put Chelsea ahead, and Joao Pedro scored late to confirm the win.Earlier, Liverpool became the first team to reach the quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory away to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The result also helped Liverpool avenge a 2-1 league defeat at the same venue earlier in the week.
