Diego Maradona fails again as a coach
Diego Maradona has tried this for a while now and he has failed every time.
Arguably the greatest footballer of all times, Maradona, was once again sacked as a coach, this time by UAE club Al Wasl. The Argentine had taken up this assignment almost a year after his removal from the Argentine coach's job.
In his playing days, Maradona was unstoppable and when he took over as Argentina coach some time before the 2010 World Cup, there was a huge sense of anticipation.

But the fact that a great player may not always be a great coach was proved when Argentina were thrashed by Germany in the quarters.
Maradona was a player who could lift the team with his individual brilliance, but while coaching Argentina, his over-dependence on Lio Messi didn't help him. When he took over Al Wasl in May 2011, the legend's fans hoped he will be able to work his magic for a club.
But Al Wasl failed to win any silverware under Maradona during his season at the helm, slipping to eighth in the 12-team UAE Pro League from sixth the previous season.
"Following a meeting held by the board of directors of Al Wasl Football Company to evaluate the technical staff of Al Wasl under the leadership of coach Diego Maradona, it was decided to terminate the services of coach Diego Maradona and his technical staff," a club statement said.
Thus the Argentine superstar failed to emulate Johan Cryuff and Franz Beckenbauer, the only two legends, who have made it big as coach as well.
