GURGAON: Striker Sunil Chhetri showed signs of improvement from his right ankle injury as he took part in the Indian football team's full training session even as his cover Subhash Singh joined the camp on Thursday.
Chhetri, whom coach Bob Houghton said was doubtful for the August 19-31 Nehru Cup, took part in the one and half hour training session under the watchful eyes of the Englishman at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium just like his other team-mates.

The players had a light warm-up for around half an hour and then continued with an hour's session which devoted to trying out team combinations and build up, and Chhetri took part in all these.
Subhash, who signed up with East Bengal this season, was also in his paces immediately after reaching New Delhi on Thursday.
Houghton had called up Subhash as a cover for Chhetri since another striker Sushil Singh is also suffering from slight stiffness on his legs.
Houghton though had said there was no certainty that Subhash would be in the 20-man squad for the Nehru Cup to be announced on August 18 while also not ruling out Chhetri.
"Subhash Singh is a talented player and he is very much in the future scheme of things but I can't say whether he will be in the Nehru Cup squad or not," the coach said.
The training camp will continue here till August 16 before shifting to a college ground in New Delhi from August 17.
