Central Railway, Guards Regimental Centre post easy wins in NDFA Super Division League

NAGPUR: A brilliant hat-trick by Chabin Rabha propelled Guards Regimental Centre (

GRC

) to a comfortable 3-1 victory against

Sadar Football Club

in the

NDFA Super Division Football League

at the Police Line Takli ground here on Sunday.

The hard-working forward Rabha pumped in three goals within a short span of 16 minutes to script a big win for GRC. After a barren first half, Rabha broke the deadlock in the 59th minute. He continued his superb form and added two more goals in the 69th and 75th minutes to complete the hat-trick.

Moments before the final whistle, Irshad Mirza scored a consolation goal for Sadar FC.

In another one sided encounter, Central Railway derailed New Globe 5-0. The railmen were leading by 2-0 at half time.

Adil Ansari

opened the account in the 34th minute. With three minutes before the break,

Abhay Chowdhary

made it 2-0.

After the change of ends, railmen continued their onslaught and slammed three more goals to seal the fate of Kamptee side. In the 65th minute, Aziz Qureshi scored the third goal, while ten minutes later Athar Mirza swelled the lead.

New Globe tried hard to reduce the margin but failed to penetrate the strong defence of Central Railway. With four minutes remaining to end the match, Nasir Jamal added salt to New Globe wounds by finding the target in the 86th minute.

On Monday, Nagpur City will take on Eagle Club at the same venue.
