Calcutta Football League: Mohammedan SC face George Telegraph test

KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club will be keen to pick up their second-consecutive victory when they lock horns with George Telegraph SC in their fourth match of the Calcutta Football League Premier Division A on Friday.
Mohammedan Sporting Club, who will play Friday's encounter at their club ground after playing their opening three matches at the Barasat Stadium, started their Calcutta Football League Premier Division A campaign with a 1-0 victory over Food Corporation of India before going down 0-1 to Aryan Club in the following match.
However, they bounced back in their previous encounter as they managed to get the better of Rainbow Athletic Club by a solitary goal.
Mohammedan Sporting Club are currently fifth in the points table with six points after three games. However, the team's technical director Raghu Nandy has made it clear that he is not concerned about the points table so early in the campaign and is just looking to focus on one match at a time.
Mohammedan Sporting Club are better-placed than George Telegraph but Raghu Nandy feels that this is a very crucial match for his team and he expects a tough game.
"This is going to be a tough match‚" Raghu Nandy was quoted as saying in an official press release of Mohammedan Sporting Club. "All teams will look to raise their game and perform to their best potential when they face a team like Mohammedan Sporting Club. George Telegraph will be no exception. They will come hard at us in their effort to collect points. We need to stick to the basics in order to get the desired result."
