KOLKATA: FIFA president Sepp Blatter will visit India in March next year, according to the All India Football Federation president Priya Ranjan Das Munshi.
"Blatter will be visiting a few Asia countries in March next year and it is highly possible that he will be coming to India to inspect the development work done in this part of the sub-continent."Das Munshi said on Sunday.
India will host the final leg of the Under-20 Asia Cup football tournament next year. "AFC asked us whether the AIFF will be able to organise the U-20 Asia Cup and we have shown keen interest. An AFC team will arrive in India to inspect the venues,"the president added. In its bid to create a national talent pool, the AIFF plans to have three teams namely India 'Saffron', 'White' and 'Green' which will play and practice together before international meets.
