NEW DELHI: Barely a month left for the Asian Cup, Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia on Wednesday landed in Chennai from Dubai to get his calf muscle injury treated by a sports medicine expert.
Bhutia and defender Samir Naik will be treated by Kanan Pugazhendi, who had worked with the Indian football team in the past, and they are expected to rejoin the team next week.

Kanan told that he will treat Baichung for a minor hamstring problem of the calf muscle and the Indian captain will be fit to resume play soon.
"Baichung will be treated for muscular tendonitis. It's a minor problem and he should be all right soon and start playing. He will be with me for five-six days." Kanan said from Chennai.
Baichung, who hasn't played since suffering an injury while playing against Namibia on September 15, is expected to fly back to Dubai and join his team-mates by the time they return from Doha, where they play Qatar in an international friendly on December 19.
The national team will return to Dubai, their base since early November, to play their last international friendly against Syria on December 26.
Meanwhile, India have submitted their preliminary list of 31 players for the January 7-29 AFC Asian Cup in Doha on Tuesday, the last date for doing so.
According to AIFF sources, all the 31 players were there at the camp in Dubai and no one was added despite injuries to several players, though, the country could have submitted more than that.
