Azhar's goal helps Anjuman School reach semis

NAGPUR: Mohammad Azhar's goal helped Anjuman High School beat Qidwai 1-0 in the Iftekharull Memorial 1st Inter-School Football tournament on Sunday.
Azhar found the back of the net in the 34th minute. SFS entered the quarters drubbing Tidke Vidyalaya 3-0.
Jeevesh Gangapurkar (18th min), Yash Yadav (28th min) and Anurag Lokhande (30th min) netted one goal each.
Rupesh Atram and Sahil Meshram netted a brace each as St John's blanked Rajendra HS 5-0. Arshil Akhtar was the other scorer.
St. Xavier's, Hingna trounced St Michael's HS 4-1 to enter the quarters. Swapnil Velukar and Ishan Panhekar struck two goals each. For St Michael's, Miheer Nayak scored a consolation goal.
