Arnold nets for Mumbai Strikers

MUMBAI: Mumbai Strikers got the better of Madanpura FC 1-0 in a First Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League at the St. Xavier's ground, Parel. Arnold Mascarenhas netted the lone goal of the match. Earlier in another match of the same division, Millwall FC prevailed over Cyril Gabriel by a 3-1 margin. Dylan Fernandes, Zeeshan Shaikh and Jehan Irani, all scored a goal each for the victors.

Desai, Kothare excel for HDFC
Rajesh Desai and Ameya Kothare captured six wickets as HDFC Ltd defeated Baroda Pioneer by 21 runs in the Vodafone Corporate Cricket 7s at the Western Railway ground. HDFC elected bat first, but were shot out for 55. But, Desai and Kothare's brilliant spell broke the Baroda Pioneer's back and the latter were bowled out for 34.
