Akash’s hat-trick leads Nagpur FC to win in NDFA Elite Division League

NAGPUR: Akash Kumar fired a spectacular hat-trick to lead Nagpur Football Club to a narrow 3-2 victory over Nagpur Academy in the Meghe NDFA Elite Division Football League match at the Police Line Takli ground here on Sunday.
The hard-working forward slotted home thrice in the 39th, 54th and 75th minutes to single-handedly guide Nagpur FC to a hard-fought win in an exciting encounter.
Although, Nagpur Academy fought back gallantly in the last ten minutes of the match, they could not stop Nagpur FC from notching up full points. Mohd Nazim Sheikh led the Nagpur Academy fightback with a couple of goals in the 81st and 93rd minutes to give jitters to their rivals.
In the Super Division League, Ansar Club held Rahul Brothers to a 1-1 draw. Varun Paul had put Rahul Brothers ahead in the 62nd minute. But their joy was short-lived as Ansar Club levelled the scores 14 minutes later through Inteshab Alam.
State Reserve Police Force thrashed Orange City 3-0 in the Senior Division League. All the three goals were struck by YY Francis.

Elite Division: Nagpur FC 3 (Akash Kumar 39th, 54th, 75th mins) bt Nagpur Academy 2 (Mohd Nazim Sheikh 81st, 90+3 min).
Super Division: Ansar Club 1 (Inteshab Alam 76th min) drew with Rahul Brothers 1 (Varun Paul 62nd min).
Senior Division: SRPF 3 (YY Francis 69th, 78th, 81st min) bt Orange City 0.
