Former champions Air India scored a second half equaliser to hold Maharashtra State Police to a 1-1 draw in a keenly-contested Elite Division match of the MDFA League at the Andheri Sports Complex.

MUMBAI: Former champions Air India scored a second half equaliser to hold Maharashtra State Police to a 1-1 draw in a keenly-contested Elite Division match of the MDFA League at the Andheri Sports Complex.
The State cops took the lead through Himket Dhembre in the 25th minute, but Air India came back strongly in the second period and managed to find the equaliser through Pratik Koli in the 69th minute.

Souvenir, Parsee in final
Souvenir CC shocked defending champions Payyade Sports Club in a thriller to set up the championship round against Parsee Gymkhana, in the 68th Salar Jung Community Invitation T20 Cricket Tournament. Electing to bat, Souvenir scored 145-7 in 20 after recovering from 67-4. Put in to bat in the other semi-final against hosts Islam Gymkhana, Parsee Gymkhana capitalised on poor fielding and 27 extras to reach 167-5 in 20 overs. Opener Aakarshit Gomel slammed an unbeaten 73 with seven boundaries and a six, while captain Raunaq Sharma added 24 with two sixes.
