Around 6 p.m., a grey car crashed into a crowd on Water Street, hurting 27 people, including four kids. One child and one adult were severely injured and went to the hospital. Merseyside Police arrested a 53-year-old man from Liverpool who was driving the car. They said it was not a terror attack and was a one-time event. Police, ambulances, and firefighters rushed to help.
Some people were stuck under the car and needed to be saved. The ambulance team helped 20 others with minor injuries. Videos online showed the car hitting people, causing fear. Jamie Carragher, distraught, posted on X with a photo of the Liver Building in red smoke. He wrote, “
