Chennaiyin FC fight back to hold Jamshedpur FC 2-2

CHENNAI: Chennaiyin FC fought back well to hold Jamshedpur FC 2-2 in an ISL match away from home on Saturday. But with 15 points from 12 games, they are still four adrift top-6, who will make the play-off rounds. Jamshedpur, with six points, are at 11th spot.
JFC took the lead in the 17th minute. Rafael Crivellaro played a onetouch with Daniel Chukwu before sending a brilliant through to Ritwik Das, who put it past the CFC keeper.
CFC were unlucky in the first half with Vincy Barretto and Akash Sangwan headers coming off the cross-bar at the 9th and 44th minutes respectively.Chennaiyin came out all guns blazing in the second half but success eluded them and JFC made it 2-0 with Ritwik scoring with a beautiful right-footer after cutting in down the left.
But CFC hit back with Barretto reducing the margin in the 60th minute. It was the spark that they needed and CFC made it 2-2 when Sangwan’s fine cross from the left was beautifully met by striker Sliskovic inside the box and his flick found the far corner of the net.
Odisha blow away East Bengal:
In the other match of the day, Odisha FC blew away East Bengal 3-1 in Bhubaneswar. With the win, Odisha have 22 points from 13 games and they are in the fifth spot. East Bengal, meanwhile, are at the ninth spot with 12 from 12.
