MUMBAI: It has been a tale of 'so near yet so far' for Arsenal for long. So many times have they come close to winning the Premiership, only to fritter away the opportunity. But despite the setbacks, they remain Lewis Hamilton's favourite. For him, "It was always Arsenal, it will always be Arsenal".
But haven't they been flattering to deceive so often? "Yeah, I don't know what happens.

They make silly mistakes. They have lost games from winning positions so many times. But they are good. They are good to win the title. They will do it very soon. This could be their season," the Briton says.
Hamilton is an avid footballer himself. "I used to play in the midfield. That's because the team needs someone to run a lot in the middle, someone with a lot of stamina who will never tire of chasing the ball. I used to run cross-country when I was in school. I used to like long-distance races. The 800m was, in fact, my pet event," he adds.
The busy world of Formula One doesn't give him much time to follow his favourite team, though. "But whenever I am there in London, I never miss a chance to watch Arsenal play. As a kid I used to like Tottenham Hotspurs, but because my sister liked Arsenal, I started supporting them too. I hope they end their title drought this season. "
