The Foxes now find themselves in 19th position, trailing safety by two points as they prepare for Sunday's fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.
"I am focused on getting this team out of the situation that we're in and that is my only concern," said the Leicester boss.
Nistelrooy, who served as Manchester United's interim manager earlier this season, confirmed that Leicester continues to explore opportunities to strengthen their squad.
"I believe in these players I have now and we are looking at possibilities to strengthen the squad," he said.
