Liverpool win big over West Ham, Salah’s goalless run continues

Mohamed Salah has now gone 10 Premier League games without scoring.

Liverpool still won 5–2 against West Ham on Saturday.



Goals came from Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and there was also an own goal. This was the first time this season Liverpool scored more than four goals in a league match.

Liverpool has won four games in a row in all competitions and six of their last seven. Their only recent loss was at home to Manchester City. The win moves them level on points with fourth-placed Manchester United, who play Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Salah’s last league goal was on November 1 against Aston Villa, marking his longest scoring drought since joining Liverpool in 2017.

Brentford Snatch Late Win

Brentford beat Burnley 4–3 in a thrilling match. They were leading 3–0, but Burnley came back to make it 3–3.

In stoppage time, Mikkel Damsgaard scored the winner for Brentford. Burnley thought they had equalized again through Ashley Barnes, but VAR ruled the goal out.

Everton won 3–2 at Newcastle, with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford making a crucial late save.

Bournemouth drew 1–1 with Sunderland, extending their unbeaten run to eight games
