NEW DELHI: In a thrilling encounter, Alvaro Morata's double strike propelled Atletico Madrid to a 3-2 comeback victory against Feyenoord in their Champions League Group E clash. The match also witnessed a spectacular second-half performance from Atletico's goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.

Feyenoord appeared to be the stronger side throughout the game and claimed an early lead, courtesy of an unfortunate own goal by defender Mario Hermoso. In the sixth minute, a rebound from Oblak, resulting from an Ayase Ueda effort, unintentionally ricocheted off Hermoso's knee and into Atletico's own goal.

Nonetheless, Atletico responded swiftly, with Morata finding the net from inside the box just five minutes later. Feyenoord regained the lead in the 34th minute, thanks to David Hancko's strike from a rebound opportunity.

Before the first half concluded, Atletico mounted a resurgence, as Antoine Griezmann struck from close range during injury time, levelling the score at 2-2.

Morata's second goal came shortly after the restart, securing the win for Atletico Madrid with a clinical finish. Oblak emerged as the hero of the match, thwarting Feyenoord's attempts and ensuring Atletico claimed three crucial points.

With four points from two games, Atletico Madrid currently lead Group E, holding a one-point advantage over Feyenoord in second place. Lazio, occupying third place with one point, are set to face Celtic, who have yet to secure any points, later in the day.
