Brazil

and

Germany

will clash in the under-17 world cup quarter final at

Salt Lake Stadium

on Sunday evening. The game has already triggered enough excitement among the football crazy Kolkatans.

Sourabh Ghosh is eagerly waiting for the mega quarter-final clash between which is already being billed as the most thrilling tie of the tournament. He will be one of the lucky few to be watching the game sitting inside

Salt Lake

Stadium.

The mention of both these teams in the same breathe conjures up images of the drubbing Brazil got in

Belo Horizonte

in 2014 World Cup, where the hosts Brazil had to exit the World Cup in after losing 7-1 to Germany.

"But a rerun of that match is unlikely," explains an excited Sourabh, a food and beverage professional in the city. "Both the teams have equal chances of winning the match and the tournament though their styles are completely different. It is a win-win situation for football overs," said Sourabh.

They say that Brazil have another hometown in Kolkata which even they are unaware of. The Latin American nation always rides a tidal wave of emotion in Kolkata with several neighbourhoods decking up in Brazilian colours before the team's crucial matches. Germany may not have such a mammoth fan following in Kolkata but has its share of fans. Some of them will be heading to the stadium tomorrow.

"All German teams are hardworking and clinical. I have been a fan of German football for the past 15 years," said Sourav Arora, a banker.

But the buzz around the match suggests that Brazil will have adequate support at Salt Lake stadium on Sunday evening.
