Recon Bolt Lineups for Information Gathering

Recon Bolts are Sova's main tools for gathering intel regarding enemy positioning. On Icebox, knowing where to launch these bolts can clear vital areas, allowing your team to push with confidence.

1. Mid Recon
To scout mid, position yourself at the top of B Garage near the container. Place your crosshair a tad above the left corner of the wall. Charge your Recon Bolt fully and shoot it over the top of the container. The bolt will scan mid and reveal any defenders holding that position.

2. A Site Recon:
To clear the A site as you push, stand on A T-Ramp and aim at the top of the yellow container overlooking A Site. Charge the Recon Bolt to one bar and fire it. The bolt will scan the A Site cubby and default plant area, revealing any defenders hiding there.

Shock Bolt Lineups for Post-Plant Control

Shock Bolts are used to mess with enemies, mainly in a post-plant situation, where they can stop the defuse or force enemies out of cover, thus giving you an edge right away.

1. B Default Shock Bolt (Stopping the Defuse)
To stop a defuse at B, stand between the container and crate on B Green. Align the top-left corner of your crosshair with the markings on the container. Charge the Shock Bolt to a single bar, add one bounce, and fire it towards the default plant spot. For the second bolt, aim at the transparent screen behind you, placing your left diamond marker at the bottom. Fully charge and add two bounces. This combination will hit players at the default plant spot and behind the yellow container.

2. B Post-Plant: (New Container Position)
With the new container removal on B site, adjust your lineup to stop defuses near the crane. Stand near the main building and align the edge of the building with the gray panel on the outer wall. Charge the first Shock Bolt to one bar and fire it towards the default plant spot. For the second, align the left corner of your meter with the building corner, fully charge it, and add one bounce. This combo will disrupt players trying to plant or defuse near Snowman.

Bonus Tip: Premeditated Shock Bolt

Icebox has acute angles, and players will often park themselves on containers or hides. By launching Shock Bolts preemptively onto these spots, you can do damage or force opponents to vacate these positions before engaging fully.

Sova's abilities become quite the life force on Icebox and even more for Recon and Shock Bolts who know their way well into the maps. On mastering these lineups, the advantage shall pose itself both for gathering intel as well as intercepting enemy strategy. While defending or attacking, aligned to changing the tide in favor shall make Sova an irreplaceable part of your success.
