Zekrom, the legendary Electric- and Dragon-type Pokemon, is set to make a grand appearance in Pokemon GO’s 5-star raids. Trainers worldwide will have the chance to challenge this formidable creature during the GO Tour Unova events, starting with in-person events in Los Angeles and New Taipei City from February 21 to 23, 2025. The global rollout will follow on February 28 as part of the Road To Unova event and continue on March 1-2, 2025, during the GO Tour Unova: Global event.

As a dual-type Pokemon, Zekrom is vulnerable to Ground-, Ice-, Fairy-, and Dragon-type moves. Its stat distribution makes it a tough opponent, with a Combat Power of 53,394, an Attack stat of 275, a Defense stat of 211, and a Stamina stat of 15,000 HP. Once defeated, Zekrom’s catch CP will range between 2,217 and 2,307 CP at level 20 without weather boost, and 2,771 to 2,884 CP at level 25 during Windy or Rainy weather. A 100% IV Zekrom will have a CP of 2,307 without weather boost and 2,884 with weather boost.


Shiny Zekrom is also available in raids, with an approximate 1-in-20 chance of encountering one. If you’re lucky enough to find a shiny, it’s a guaranteed catch as long as you land the final throw.
