WWE 2K25: How To Put Your Opponent Through the Announce Table

Putting an opponent through the announce table has been a highlight of WWE for decades. From The Undertaker’s chokeslams to The Rock’s spinebusters, it’s an iconic moment that always gets the crowd on its feet. If you’re looking to recreate that magic in WWE 2K25, you’re in luck! The process remains similar to previous games, but you’ll need to follow a few crucial steps to ensure a jaw-dropping table break.

1. Store a Finisher First

Before you can send your opponent crashing through the announce table, you must have a finisher stored. Your finisher gauge fills up as you land strikes, grapple moves, and taunts. Without at least one finisher ready, the game won’t allow you to execute the move. While you don’t necessarily need to wear your opponent down into the red zone, doing so makes it easier since they’ll have a harder time reversing your attacks.

2. Clear the Announce Table

Just like in real WWE matches, you can’t smash someone through a fully set-up announce table. You’ll need to clear the surface first. Walk up to the announce table and press L1 (PS5) / LB (Xbox) / Q (PC) to remove the monitors, cover, and other items. If your opponent is nearby, be quick, as they can interrupt you before you’re ready.

3. Position Your Opponent

Now comes the tricky part, getting your opponent into position. There are two ways to do this:

• Irish Whip Method - Stand close to the announce table, grapple your opponent (Circle/B), then whip them towards the table with another press of Circle/B.
• Manual Placement - For more control, grab your opponent (Circle/B), then press L1/LB to walk them over to the table. Once they’re close, they’ll automatically lean against it.

To place them flat on the table, flick the right analog stick up when they’re leaning against it.

4. Perform the Finisher

Once your opponent is lying on the announce table, approach it and press R1/RB to climb on top. If your Superstar has a table finisher, the game will prompt you to execute it - just press the finisher button (R2 + X / RT + A / R + K).

Alternatively, some high-flyers can perform aerial finishers from the turnbuckle. After placing your opponent on the table, climb the nearest turnbuckle and wait for the prompt to execute a high-flying move.
