Marvel Rivals Season 2 - New Costume Color Variations and Gifting Options Launching April 11, 2025

Marvel Rivals Season 2 is all set to release on April 11, 2025. The new season will introduce a ton of new content, including new features like costume color variations and gifting options for the players. The developers just published the Dev Vision Vol. 05, where creative director GuangGuang elaborated upon these upcoming new features in Marvel Rivals.

Customizable Hero Skins coming in Marvel Rivals Season 2

Marvel Rivals' creative director, GuangGuang, in the Dev Vision Vol. 05 stated that new color options for existing skins will be released starting from Marvel Rivals Season 2. The most popular costumes will be targeted first and will receive color variations. Players can choose either of the costume color options for their favourite heroes, providing more opportunities for personalization. Here’s what GuangGuang said about the new costume color options coming into the game:

“In Season 2, we're excited to announce that we will begin adding new color options for some of the more popular costumes, providing even more opportunities for personalization.”


However, we don’t know yet if these new costumes will be free or require a purchase with units. As of writing, two popular skins are confirmed to be getting a costume color variation. They are:

• Psylocke - Vengeance costume
• Luna Snow - Mirae 2099
• Emma Frost - Blue Sapphire Recolor

Gifting Options are coming in Marvel Rivals Season 2

NetEase Games is introducing a new feature in Marvel Rivals Season 2 that allows players to gift in-game costumes or bundles to their friends. Gifting Options has been an awaited feature for some time in Marvel Rivals. Here’s what GuangGuang said about the new gifting options coming into the game:

“We're introducing a new feature that allows players to gift costumes to their friends. This enhancement aims to foster better communication and interaction among friends within our game.”
This not only opens up the store for trading among friends, but content creators can also benefit from it. Marvel Rivals content creators often conduct costume giveaways to attract and engage with their audience. This process will be much easier and streamlined, allowing creators to send prizes to any account worldwide. Here's everything to know about Gifting options in Marvel Rivals:
- Gifting unlocks at Level 10
- 5 gifts per day
- Gifts can only be sent if your friend does not already own the item
- If your friend already owns any item in a bundle, the cost will be adjusted for the items they do not own.
- Gifts are irreversible and non-refundable once sent. For assistance, contact our support team.
◆ Be warned if any player (or should that be villain?) is caught using illicit methods to manipulate gifting, our backend systems will retract the gift posthaste.
