IShowSpeed’s viral Instagram DMs just got leaked, and the Internet can’t stop talking about it

In 2025, IShowSpeed's old Instagram DMs from 2023 resurfaced, sparking online buzz. The DMs, featuring flirty exchanges with a girl named Anya, known as “ChopperHatGirl,” were initially sent during a live stream where Speed was banned from TikTok for alleged “sexual activity.” Speed then took the conversation to Instagram, resulting in a series of now-viral messages.

It’s 2025, and nothing stays private on the internet for too long, especially if you’re IShowSpeed. Recently, a bunch of his Instagram DMs started making the rounds online, and fans instantly hit panic (or popcorn) mode. But before you start judging or jumping to conclusions, here’s the real tea.

What Even Happened?

On June 16, 2025, several Instagram DMs, supposedly from Speed’s account, went viral. They showed him chatting up a girl — flirty banter, date plans, and even a wild “I’m bricked ASF” message. And just like that, #IShowSpeedDMs started trending. But those messages weren’t leaked in the shady, backstabby way we’re used to seeing with celeb scandals. Turns out, Speed had already sent those DMs on stream. Yup, he did it live. With full chaos energy.

Flashback to the Real Story

To get the full context, we need to rewind to an October 2023 stream. During one of his chaotic live streams, Speed was hopping onto random TikTok lives looking for a date. That’s when he stumbled upon Anya a.k.a. “ChopperHatGirl”, a girl wearing Tony Tony Chopper’s hat from One Piece (which, fun fact, Speed once said “saved his life”).It was instant anime-fueled chemistry. Speed told her she was beautiful, gushed over their shared love for One Piece, and asked her out right there.
Honestly, peak Gen-Z romance.

Banned Mid-Flirt?!

But just when things were getting cute, TikTok straight-up banned him from the live, citing “sexual activity and services.” Speed was visibly shocked and said:
  • "What?! How did I get banned?! Sexual? What?! Chat... I didn't even show my me*t!"

From TikTok Ban to Instagram Slide

Mid-confusion and mid-rant, Speed turned to his chat and announced:
  • “Ay, chat, tell her I'm about to DM her on IG.”
And he did exactly that. What followed was a full-on DM convo that started cute, then got intense fast. Speed introduced himself, flirted hard, and even shot his shot with:
  • “When can I take you out?”
To which Anya replied:
  • “Whenever you want… I’ll make time for you.”
And then came the now-infamous line:
  • “I’m bricked ASF NGL, you wanna see?”
She jokingly played along and said that:
  • “Take it slow, baby.”
Then, Speed clapped back with:
  • “I can’t, I’m Speed.”

Were the DMs actually “leaked”?

Not really. Speed literally read them out and sent them during a live stream in 2023. The screenshots that surfaced now are basically just old convos resurfacing in 2025 internet drama fashion. Classic social media moment out of context and blown out of proportion.
